Wasn't it You the shepherds found in the stable,
Wasn't it You the magi came to adore,
Wasn't it You the angels hailed on the hillside,
Wasn't it You the world would soon call "Lord".

Wasn't it You who made the blind see the daylight
Made cripples walk with just the touch of Your hand.
Wasn't it You taught us love and forgiveness;
Spreading Your joy and peace across the land.

Wasn't it You who took humanity's burdens,
Carried them to the hill to be crucified?
Wasn't it You who cried out, "Father, forgive them."
Then in the stillness, bowed Your head and died.

Wasn't it You who I saw walking on Sunday,
There in the morning in the spring of the year?
Raised from the dead and walking strong in the victory.
Isn't it You who I find always near.
