Prayer for the People

Dear God,

For the children

In the world,

I wish peace and love.

May these little ones

Have all they need

For a good life.

May poverty

All over this world

Vanish.

Show us all

The way to go

To make a better life

For all people.

Let the Children

Let the children come

From near and far

To the table

To there feast

And find love.

Let the children come,

Rich and pampered,

Or tattered and torn,

Come to this table

All are welcome

At this table.

AT the End

What a day

That will be

At the end of the road,

There’ll be no sorrow, no pain

There’ll be freedom to be

At the end of the road.

All oppression

Will be gone,

And there will be

No one to hurt us

And no trouble to see

At the end of the road.

All our hurts

Of this world

And all our tears

Will be dried and gone away

At the end of the road.

Sing of God

Sing to God

And give you praises

To the One

Who is always there

For us all.

God is never angry

With us for long,

And will give to us

Great joy.

Rejoice,

For our God

A Prayer

Oh dear God, be with those in the south and east of our country who
have been so impacted by the storms that have been marching across
their part.  Help them to rebuild their lives so they will have better
lives.  Show all of us where we have gone wrong and how to fix the
problem that causes such storms.  Keep us safe from the storms of life
and calm the weather so that we all can find some peace.  AMEN

My soul wants

To shout aloud

The praises of my glorious God,

But the best my voice can do

Is the lowest whisper.

My soul wants

To shout with song

But all that comes out

Is a very small sound.

I want to tell the world

All about my God and King

But whenever I try,

Not a word comes out

Except, “God is my King!”

To tell the glory of God.

That tell of His might.

That I could sing His praise

A Praise

I cannot keep quiet,

What God has done for me.

For He has given me life;

Make all people

The Knock

I hear a knocking

At the door;

Who is there?

Do I want to answer

And go where

I am led?

Will I listen

To the voice

That speaks to me,

And do the job

That is to be done?

And let Jesus in?

Go to God

When depression hits you,

Go to God in prayer

And let that love

That is always there

Wash over you.

For always in God

How Mighty

How mighty are your works, oh man!

But besides the works of God,

God is too Great

God is too great for me,
Too big and too full
For me to understand.
I cannot hold the idea
Of so much love within.
So I back away,
Afraid of what
I might find out about
Who this God is.

To the things around me.
God is too great for me,

God Speaks to All

God is Near

God Always

John 1:1-5

God has always

Been there

And brings light

To my life

Overwhelm me.

And God is there,

Loving all people,

And working for good

For all of us.

And again,

I find safety,

For God's love

Keeps me secure

And I am called

To walk in those paths

That will lead me

Onward to where God dwells.

And I praise God!

With everything
