John 4:1-42
Well now, let me see. I went to get
some water, and there was this man sitting there. He was a Jew. It was obvious.
And then He asks me for a drink. Him a Jew and asking me, a non-Jew and a woman
to boot for a drink!
We got into quite a conversation
about that, let me tell you! The more He talked, the more that I was sure that
He was someone special. I mean, He said things that the priests never said. And
He knew things about me that no stranger could have known!
I went back to town fairly quickly
after His disciples returned. I just had to tell my friends and neighbors all
about this man. I just had to have them meet Him. They listened, believed, and
went out to meet this man so unlike any other man that I had ever met. They
thanked me afterwards, for they could hear for themselves that here was the
Messiah!
