Thank you, little one, for making me a grown-up

Thank you, little one, for making me a Mom

God has given me a part in God’s creation

And you have brought to me a piece of heaven’s song.

Thank you, little one, for bringing me maturity

Thank you, little one, for making me a Dad

Sometimes I stumble in my human-ness, but humbly-

I think that heaven sent the best that heaven had.

This one born out of patience, made in love and prayerfulness

Thank you, little one, for bringing us our Bethlehem

We are the shepherds and the angels and the kings
