Jeans Wept

As it occured to me just now and because of all the killing that has happened the last few months, including Charleston, SC:

People don’t love

As God would want

But spout evil;

Jesus wept.

People are attacked

And are killed

For no reason,

Jesus wept.

Rage against others

Rises too often

And brings violence;

Jesus wept.

People are oppressed

And can’t live

Where they want;

Jesus wept.

People of different races,

And faiths, orientations

Can’t get along and die

Jesus wept.
