People of the Rainbow

We are the people
Of  the Rainbow ;
       And God is here,
        Among us!
We are the people
Of the rainbow;
        And God loves
       Each one of us!

Come to God,
Come and see
What forgiveness is,
What real love is.

God of the Rainbow,
Come to us now
And forgive us
For we  doubt
That you love us.
We have listened
Too much
To other voices
Who say
That we are
Not worthy of your love.
Come to us now
And help us see
The promise of the rainbow
Is that always
You love us.

And God is there,
Waiting and loving
All of us.
I tell you,
In Jesus's name
We are forgiven.

The promise of God's
Everlasting love
For all people.
No one is ever
Turned away
From that love.

Take the rainbow
Into your heart
And go out into the world
And share the promise
With all you meet.

And the God
Of the rainbow
Walks with you
Every day.
