Darkness

Darkness lies around me,
But I shall fear not,
For the sun
Will rise again
And give me light
Tha I might see
The path
That is before me.
The darkness is thick about me
And like a blanket
Shuts out all light.
But I shall fear not,
For my God,,
The light of my life,
Shall not leave me alone
In the darkness.
He comes,
And the night is as day,
And I shine in His glory
As the moon shines
In the light and glory
Of the sun.
Then the darkness
Is no more,
For my God
Is  my sun.
