Gifts

I Corinthians 12:4-11
God gives us gifts
For us to use
In this world.
It is for us
To find what gifts
Belong to each
And where
God is leading.

I Corinthians 12:27-31
Each gift is needed
In this world,
And each person
Has a place to be
And a job to do.
The gifts of each person
Are necessary
For the jobs
To be done.

I Corinthians 13:1-7
And there is love,
For if there is not love,
All else is meaningless,
For everything
Comes from the base
Of God's gift of love.

I Corinthians 13:8-10
And if we really
Learn how to love,
There is nothing
And no one
That can upset us,
And we can even
Treat our enemies
With gentleness.

I Corinthians 13:11-13
As we grow
From child to adult,
If we learn to love
More fully,
We will see
More clearly,
And we will find
That the greatest gift
Is love.
