Rainbow of Diversity

From the shadows we have watched for oh, so long
With a hunger to be part of freedom's song
Marked with labels and with fear we have survived
With a longing in our souls to come alive.
We have nursed our wounds of hate and bigotry
And we've mourned the ones who've died in agony;
Now the time has come to stand out in the light
And in unison to cry for what is right.

We'll walk through the world with pride and dignity
And we'll live our lives as who we're meant to be
Hand in hand we'll stand together, proud and free
Underneath the rainbow of diversity.

There are differences and yet we're all the same
We're your sisters, we're your brothers and your friends
